Positions
This is a full-time positions to work at Babelscape, a highly-technological company based in Rome, Italy, at the intersection between research and industry focused on the construction and maintenance of multilingual lexicalized knowledge graph. The candidate will start a Ph.D. in 2020 in the Department of Computer Science at the Sapienza University of Rome under the supervision of prof. Roberto Navigli, leading an internationally-renowned group of 15+ researchers and Ph.D. students in multilingual Natural Language Processing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out research on extracting and interlinking multilingual lexicographic knowledge graphs.
The position is limited to the duration of the qualification procedure in the field of knowledge graphs with the EU project KnowGraphs.
Profile
Requirements:
  • M.Sc. in computer science, computational linguistics or linguistics
  • Programming skills in Java or Python
  • Knowledge of deep learning architectures and frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The candidate may not have resided or carried out his/her main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the last 3 years
  • The candidate must be, at the time of recruitment, in the first four years of her/his research degree (measured from the date when the candidate obtained the degree which would formally entitle her/him to embark on a doctorate).
Remuneration
The selected researcher will receive a living allowance (which covers private costs of the researcher) and a mobility allowance. Gross salary between 46 000€ and 50 000€ per year.
If applicable, recruited fellow will receive a family allowance (for those who have a family at the time of recruitment).
All professional costs - included secondments - are covered.
